9:30am
Our volunteer team arrives for the day for a quick go-over of the days activities, and to get the coffee ready
10am
The whole team arrives! As people arrive they're greeted by Bella's "huntaway chorus" and find their name tags before joining everyone in the living room. We always start the morning with a cuppa and a slice of Marians famous scone. Family of our visitors are more than welcome to join us for this.
10:30am
And we're off for the daily jobs. This can be different depending on our visitors interests, but there's almost always someone out for a ride on the duo-bike, off to feed the animals, or down to the workshop.
11:30am
Back for another cuppa and a cheeky bikkie. Here we all get offered another task ; someone new on the bike, an art project, someone to help with lunch, etc. Our visitors always have a say in what they want to do
1pm
Lunch time! We always sit down for a hot meal together, which is prepared by volunteers alongside some of our visitors. This is a great time for a chat and some laughs. And there's even dessert, donated by our friends at the Good Bitch Bakers.
2pm
Back to work! We always have a small group to clean the dishes, but that never takes long. This is the time of day we might break out some quieter activities, depending on how people are feeling. A puzzle or a game of scrabble are a couple of favourites. Or if the sun in shining and we're still full of beans, Bella always needs someone to throw the ball.
3:30pm
Time for one last cuppa, a small fruit platter, and a wind down before everyone goes home. We like to reflect on the day together, and make sure that everyone feels accomplished with what they've done. It's very important to us that our visitors feel that they've had a productive, busy, and more importantly happy day.
4pm
