Our vision is to create a nurturing and familiar environment at Home4All, where individuals living with dementia thrive and participate in activities that sustain and enhance previous skills and hobbies. We envision a community where each visitor feels valued, respected and experiences a sense of purpose, contributing to their overall well-being.
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer a safe, natural and stimulating environment for 8-10 visitors, incorporating household activities, gardening, creative workshops, and animal care. We aim to enhance cognitive abilities, promote physical health, and encourage social interactions which can be replicated throughout New Zealand.

What do we do?
Home4all follows a Dutch "green care farm” model, which is a small scale intervention in an actual home situation. We run a day programme that supports people with dementia, aiming to give our visitors back their independence.
It is important that our visitors have an affinity with the outdoors, getting dirty hands, dirty shoes, and soaking up the ‘outdoors’ all contributes to the sense of purpose and well-being that the visitors experience. Outside activities will be enhanced by relaxed morning teas and lunches together.
Our goal is to bring pride, joy, and respect into each day. We do this by creating a homely, community-centred environment where participants feel seen, valued, and involved. We do all this alongside our wonderful team of volunteers

Why do we do it?
Our programme helps people stay involved in the life around them and maintain the skills and confidence that support independence.
We see the best impact on our visitors when they join us as early on as possible. By not doing so you can deprive them of the fun and benefits that can be had.
The normal household activities provide cognitive stimulation and physical exercise in a very natural way and the coffee and meal times provide important social interactions.

What are the benefits?

How do we do it?
We follow the Dutch "green care farm" model, where daily activities like gardening, caring for animals, preparing meals, or enjoying crafts, helps participants to stay active, social, and connected.
We can host 8-10 visitors in our safe, relaxed homestead environment. We offer activities to match their former environments, professions and/or hobbies. It is the essence of Home4All. These familiar tasks promote both wellbeing and dignity, while offering gentle structure and variety.
We use "errorless learning" to enable people to regain their autonomy. There are no mistakes here, just gentle guidance and support.

How can I find out more?
You can register directly with us if you have a diagnosis and have a valid indication from the Care Coordination Centre. As soon as we receive your registration form, we will make an appointment for an intake interview.
During the intake interview, we will make a joint decision about the suitability of the Home4All homestead activity programme for you and your family.
