At Home4All, we believe that growth is a journey. For the last five years, we’ve been dedicated to proving that the Green Care Farm model—focused on purpose, nature, and community—truly changes lives for those in the early stages of dementia. With the stepping down of our founders and the appointment of Ruthie Emeny as our new General Manager, we are entering a new and exciting phase. This is why we realised it was also time for our visual identity to catch up with who we’ve grown into. Here is the story behind our new look.

Honouring Our Roots

Our original logo featured a vintage Dutch coffee grinder. It was a deeply personal symbol for our founders, Jan and Marian Weststrate, representing the homely hospitality of the private residence where Home4All began in Raumati. However, as we grew, we heard your feedback: while the sentiment was beautiful, the meaning wasn't always clear to the wider New Zealand community. It didn't quite capture the "Green Care Farm" life or the specific focus on brain health that defines our daily work.

Introducing the New Logo

Our new design is built with intention, ensuring that every line and colour tells a piece of our story:

  • The Brain Contour: Because living with dementia is a neurodegenerative journey, the overall shape of our logo reflects the human brain. This connects directly to our focus on positive brain health and early intervention.

  • The Home at the Centre: We remain committed to a homely environment. Our support doesn't happen in clinical halls; it happens in a traditional home where friendships and social interactions flourish.

  • The Power of Green: You’ll notice various shades of green, representing our miniature farm, gardens, and greenhouse. Green is also the colour of hope, reflecting our belief that people living with dementia can continue to learn and contribute to society and overall have a purpose in life.

  • A Connection to Aotearoa: To ensure we are culturally sensitive, the lines within the brain contour are inspired by Māori design, reflecting the natural flow of waves.

More Than Respite

Providing respite for the carer of someone living with dementia is necessary, but this has always been a welcome extra when a visitor enjoys coming to Home4all. Our primary focus is to provide a happy day to our visitors. Along with the new logo, you’ll see us using new language to describe our mission. We’ve evolved from providing just happy days to becoming a hub for family education, public awareness, and instigating research aimed at reducing the stigma of dementia. We are so proud of this new chapter and can’t wait to continue this journey with you under a banner that truly reflects our shared values.
